Chris Voss
As an FBI hostage negotiator for 24 years, Chris Voss persuaded terrorists, bank robbers, and kidnappers. He acted as Lead FBI Negotiator to the US National Security Council Hostage Working Group and the G-8 and developed and led a 90 person international negotiation response team. He also taught negotiation internally.
Since retiring from the FBI, Chris earned his Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University, and has taught at a number of esteemed institutions, including the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, Georgetown University, Harvard University, Northwestern University, the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland, and the Goethe Business School in Frankfurt, Germany.
After FBI, Voss also founded The Black Swan Group, which solves business communication problems with hostage negotiation strategies for its clients. In 2016, he published Never Split the Difference, which became an international bestseller.
