Nordic Business Forum wins the Central Finland Marketing Deed Award 2011

Nordic Business Forum, which brought fame to the city of Jyväskylä by organizing a seminar starring Al Gore, has been given the Central Finland marketing deed award of the year 2011. The sixth of its kind, the acknowledgement was presented today, Thursday the 8th of December, at the international customer evening of Jykes.

Candidates for the award were gathered during the Jykes event “Markkinointiviestinnän päivä”, and through the website of the newspaper Keskisuomalainen. A jury from MARK Keski-Suomi chose four of the candidates for a public vote. The vote was held in November, and the winner with 41,94% of the votes was the Strength from Responsible Choices -seminar by Nordic Business Forum. Other candidates were JJK Jyväskylä, Viherlandia and SynergiaKiekko.

To qualify for the award, the candidate must have accomplished an extraordinary action or achievement which also breeds motivation to develop better solutions.

The international scale seminar received attention

“According to the jury, the Strength from Responsible Choices -seminar by Nordic Business Forum was an event of international scale and a strong show of force by young entrepreneurs. The sold-out seminar attracted participants from all over Finland. As well as the participants, the event also got the media interested, and was invigorating for business. The young entrepreneurs of Nordic Business Forum Oy strongly backed Jyväskylä in their speeches, and thus were marketing Central Finland”, says the chairman of MARK Keski-Suomi, Tiina Laapio.

The Strength from Responsible Choices -seminar received good feedback, and next year’s seminar is already being planned and marketed. “99,78% of the filled feedback forms told us that they are willing to recommend the seminar for others. In the 2012 seminar the speaker list includes, among others, Sir Richard Branson, and the seminar has been developed further with fresh ideas. For example networking and interactivity are being focused on with new tools. Little things can have a big effect on an already successful recipe”, says the CEO of Nordic Business Forum, Jyri Lindén.

The team of Nordic Business Forum Oy would like to humbly thank the jury, the voters, our customers and collaborators for this award: a HUGE thank you!
