We believe in the power of taking notes. Most of our team members take their notebooks with them everywhere they go. Yes, literally everywhere. Why? Because you can never know where your next big idea is lurking.
I’m sure you can think of a time when you wished you had written down your idea that you cannot recall anymore. That’s why our number one tip for anyone visiting any kind of business conference anywhere in the world is to take notes. We at NBForum have gone old school with this by providing our event guests with notebooks and pens as soon as they enter the event. And we are glad to see that people actually make good use of them at our events.
Your notes are as good as the actions that follow them
Yet it’s not the notes that matter, but how the notes and the ideas you write down come to life after the event. That is exactly what we are after with our events as well. In order to help you do whatever it is you want to do and do it better, we bring the world’s experts on stage to share their stories and wisdom and build a setting for you to network with other event guests. But at the end of the day, it’s your decision what you make out of all the ideas and networks you gain from the event.
The same applies to note-taking. We can provide you with the tools to take the notes – but it’s up to you whether you make any notes and what you do with them afterwards.
According to the feedback from our most recent event, Nordic Business Forum 2015, 95% of the guests thought that the seminar provided new ideas that they can apply to practice. It’s incredible to hear that so many guests actually got valuable insights out of the event. We truly hope these ideas actually see the light of day after the event. [More stats here »]
To bring all these ideas to life, we encourage you to dig out your notebook and go over your notes. See what you learnt and what ideas you can truly apply to practice.
And as we all know, not all of us can be compulsive note-takers. That’s why we have also prepared our own notes from the presentations. So don’t worry if you didn’t take notes, we’ve got you covered. You can read our summaries of the presentations from the Executive Summary magazine – download it for free here »
So, it’s your turn now. Go over the notes, download the Executive Summary and most importantly, take action.
