11Jan2018
We only have a handful of days left before Nordic Business Forum Norway and Nordic Business Forum Sweden and preparations are in full swing at HQ. To get the most out of your experience, we suggest that you do a few things before the action begins:
1. Define your goals
What do you hope to achieve by attending our event(s)? For some, the goal may be to focus entirely on the speakers and learn from the different sessions. For others, the goal may be networking and forming new business relationships. And a few may even come to the event hoping to find answers to a specific problem. No matter your goal, plan ahead and use your time effectively — each event is only one day long!
2. Download (and use!) the networking app Brella
One of the most valuable aspects of our conferences is the sea of executives, decision makers, and bright business minds that surround you. Break the ice and start a conversation the easy way; using the Brella networking app, you can identify your strengths and needs, browse through your fellow attendees, and book 15-minute meetings with the people with common interests for high-value conversations.
To access Brella:
- download the app for iOS or Android or navigate to the website (NBFNorway / NBFSweden)
- log in with LinkedIn, Google or Facebook, or create an account
- enter the code nbfnorway / nbfsweden depending on the event
- create your profile, answer a few questions, and start booking meetings!
Brella will assign each meeting a time and location at designated tables.
3. Download the Event app (NBFSweden ONLY)
Our official Nordic Business Forum app is the perfect way to find your way around NBFSweden. With it, you have access to the interactive agenda on the go. You can also share your ideas, musings, and photos, send direct messages to other attendees, engage in Q&A sessions by asking speakers questions, and give us feedback on the event, speakers, and more.
Download the app on Google Play or the App Store, or search “Nordic Business Forum”. Next, enter your email address and select Automatic Login. You will receive a link by email that verifies your credentials and connects you to the app (so you don’t have to remember a password every time you open it).
When you’re in, select “Nordic Business Forum Sweden 2018” and start exploring!
For NBFNorway attendees: Norway isn’t part of our app experience right now, but we have another way for you to engage with the speakers! Head over to http://bit.ly/nbfnorway-ask (or https://www.sli.do/ and search for “nbfnorway”). Here, you can submit questions and vote for other proposed questions.
4. Do your homework
One of the best ways to maximize your learning experience is to know your professors. Take some time to read our speaker biographies for Norway and Sweden, and the Speaker Spotlight series on our blog.
On a practical level, it is important to know your way around the event. Take a virtual stroll down our event information pages for NBFNorway and NBFSweden to figure out how to get to (and around) the venue.
Get all of this out of the way now so you can go into the event fully prepared!
5. Start following @NBForumHQ
We will be sharing information, inspiration, pictures, videos, and articles before, during, and after the events. Stay in the loop by following us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Youtube.
6. Pack your bag!
Now that you have the basics covered, all that is left to do is to pack your bag and be on time! Remember to bring business cards, chargers for all your devices, and/or a power bank to make it through the day without being tethered to the wall.
And, most importantly, wear comfortable shoes — trust us, it will make the whole day a lot more enjoyable!
Don’t have a ticket yet? Don’t worry – you can still sign up! For NBFNorway get your ticket here, and for NBFSweden get your ticket here.
