5 Tips for Making the Most of NBForum2018

In exactly two weeks, it’s finally showtime for the best business days of the year! After getting oriented with a bullet-proof plan and all the other preparations we covered last week in our 5 Steps to NBForum2018 blog, it’s time to think about how to make the most of the exciting event days. We’ve got your back with 5 tips to enjoy the event to its fullest!

1. Arrive smoothly!


To ensure a smooth arrival at the event venue, plan your trip and arrive well on time to collect your pass to not miss any of the sessions! To get to the event venue, the Helsinki Expo & Convention Center, you can arrive either by public transport or by car. We highly recommend arriving by public transport as it has excellent connections to our venue, saves you time from waiting at the car park, and is environmentally friendly! We have gathered more information here to help you arrive smoothly.

You can collect your seminar pass from our check-in desks upon arrival at the venue, or even before the event days from our designated pre-check-ins at Stockmann or Nordic Hotel Forum. See more details about check-in here and then you’re ready to pick up your pass!

2. Grow your network!

Talking to new people energized by the event vibe will not only help you build your network but also helps you absorb the thrilling atmosphere created when the leading business minds gather under one roof. At our venue, you will find excellent opportunities to start networking with your fellow attendees.

Our official NBForum 2018 event app gives you the ability to share your experience with other attendees, send questions to our speakers, and as a new feature, exchange contact information with the people you meet. 3. Learn from exceptional content!

Nordic Business Forum 2018 is a learning experience like no other. Our talented speaker lineup provides an unparalleled opportunity to learn from some of the world’s most important business minds. If you don’t have time to watch all the sessions, plan your schedule in a way that lets you see your favorite speakers. See the full agenda here and use the “My Agenda” feature on the event app to help you plan your seminar days.

Between sessions, watch interviews at the VA & HS Live Stream Studio. During breaks in the program, many of our mainstage speakers, as well as some other NBForum stars, will hit the live stream stage for interviews, anecdotes, and more!

To maximize your learning experience, remember to take notes! As you might be flooded with ideas and key points that you would like to put into action after the event, taking and reviewing your notes as often as possible is a good idea to stay on top of things. In addition to your laptop and mobile devices, you can use the NBForum2018 notebook, which will be available at the venue to keep your notes organized and up-to-date!

4. Take part and influence: #NBForum2018!

During the event, join the discussion on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn by using and following the hashtag #NBForum2018. Share your ideas, photos, and stories from the event and be a part of the conversation online and offline!

5. Relax and enjoy!

Need a moment between sessions to take a break, to work, or to get your energy up again?

We recommend that you use breaks in the program to share your ideas with other people while staying hydrated and getting energized! While relaxing, you can also continue networking over a cup of fresh coffee or tea, select your favorites from our menus or at one of the restaurants, and enjoy the break with your new acquaintances.

The event venue provides great places to recharge (literally)! Get some work done and find a spare outlet to plug in at the Business Corner sponsored by Brightline. If you’re a First Class guest, meet other guests at the exclusive First Class Lounge sponsored by Skoda.

On top of the amazing speaker lineup, networking, and many relaxing possibilities, Nordic Business Forum 2018 partners organize unique experience areas with fun activities and interactive displays that showcase business models, products, and much more.
